Often when we buy lots from Kenya we are looking for complex berry and big fruit flavours, with the best lots such as this offering juicy acidity balanced by rich sweetness.

Away from the usual makeup of exclusively SL varietals, this lot comprises of SL, K7, Ruiru & Batian varietals- which is reflective of the mix of coffees types grown by the membership of 3557 smallholders. This brings diversity to the flavour profile which we feel is beautifully represented in this delicious cup.

Muthuthuini Factory is operated by the Ruthaka Farmers Cooperative Society, which has 3,557 members delivering cherry to seven factories or washing stations. The farmers in this area of Nyeri grow coffee in fertile red volcanic soil.
