Said Izeni was born and raised in Gayo Highlands, one of the major coffee growing area in Indonesia. Said is the second generation of a family that has started producing coffee since in the 1990s when the political situation in Gayo was not so stable at the time. With the Aceh Sumatra National Liberation Front (ASNLF) known as GAM who actively fought against military groups deployed by the government to maintain security there, this movement directly affected the economic activities of the Gayo people, the majority of whom were coffee producers, until finally in 2004 the Tsunami disaster-hit Aceh province. which forced the Separatist Group to mediate with the Indonesian government to overcome the natural disaster crisis that hit the province of Aceh.

In the same year Said's father, Mr. Israk MK started his first coffee export after a prolonged political and economic crisis, since then, many people in Gayo, who originally lived as rice farmers and fishermen, began to switch and believe in opportunities. in the future coffee industry, the success story of Mr. Israk has moved the Gayo community to open the Gayo plain to the world coffee market as one of its origins with a distinctive processing method, namely "Sumatran Wet-Hull" coffee processing method that has been the backbone of Sumatran coffee for generations.

Said, who was a witness to his father's success story, also introduced him to the coffee industry, since he was little Said also helped his father to process coffee until finally his father was involved as the coordinator of coffee processing at his father's Dry-mill. migrated out of his homeland to study economics & business to increase his capacity in running the coffee business that has supported him since childhood.

As the native son of Gayo Said, he never felt so suitable in urban life, he felt that his identity had been determined as the son of a coffee farmer from the Gayo highlands, until in 2017 Said returned to his hometown and started clearing land for his coffee plantation, starting from 2 Hectares of land which until now he already has a total land of up to 60 hectares that he manages, Said also started his coffee processing under the name Empus Said Estate.

Said began to learn how to process specialty coffee by taking a Q-Processor license, a new perspective that he learned apart from processing Sumatran Wethull. For him, the potential for coffee in Gayo cannot only stop at commercial quality, but with the condition of the natural wealth that the Gayo people have. believes Gayo coffee can provide quality that can benefit and improve the standard of living for the Gayo coffee community in the future, in contrast to his father who focused on the Wethull process, he started processing several types of processes such as Natural, Anaerobic Natural, Dryhull, and even several other experimental processes, a new breath for the regeneration of coffee farmers in Gayo.
