Fluid O Tech Coffee Rotary Vane Pump 50L 61.5mm
This is the most common pump found in home or small plumbed espresso machines. (For the larger 200L 99mm pump, click here).
It is a mid-volume 50L brass pump with a balanced by-pass to adjust the pump pressure. It's factory set at 9 barS, you don't need to adjust it.
Rotary vane pumps can fail when debris jams the bearings or rust forms in the bearings due to age or inactivity. Water or steam can splutter from the groups, indicating poor flow of water. If, when you dismount the pump, you cannot easily rotate the shaft with your hand, then the bearings are damaged/ rusted, and the pump must be replaced.
