As we start 2023, we head back to Central American for another familiar coffee from Honduras. The producers, Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera has been at the forefront of specialty coffee in Honduras for decades. This husband and wife team stands out as top producers with a strong focus on quality. This lot of Red Catuai are planted at an altitude of 1550 masl. With its unique terroir and shade from the surrounding pine and coniferous trees, this variety strives in the farm, resulting in exceptional qualities that really shines from this coffee.
This espresso is one of our go-to coffees every year - comforting yet fruity. balanced yet elegant. In the finish, look out for that hints of sweet pine nuts and milk chocolate to complete the cup. With milk, it reminds us of how a good cup of cappuccino should be like.
