Origin Coffee - Mariano Brazil
Tasting Notes: Milk Chocolate, Marzipan, Plum.
Mariano comes from a 12-year partnership with Origin, one of our longest-standing relationships. This coffee features a soft, round body with notes of milk chocolate, marzipan, and plum.
Story
Fazenda Mariano has been a family-owned coffee farm since 1909. The farm, spanning 200 acres, has an annual output of 4,500 to 5,000 bags. Of this, 20-25% is specialty grade, and this year Origin purchased nearly two-thirds of that premium yield.
Growing coffee at Fazenda Mariano is a challenging endeavour due to climate changes and market fluctuations. To ensure sustainability, the family has begun diversifying their crops by planting avocados. Through dedication and adaptation, Fazenda Mariano continues to produce high-quality coffee that honours its rich heritage.
