For a lot of us coffee lovers, Ethiopia immediately comes to mind when we consider what we love about specialty coffee - bright acidity, complex flavors, and incredible variety. With so many great options, we have to be really picky about which one we choose to share with our pals (that’s you dudes!). All this to say we think we’ve found a winner this season, the Suke Quto!
This lovely washed lot comes to us from Ato Tesfaye Bekele in Guji. Tesfaye works together with 171 growers that deliver cherries to the Suke Quto washing and drying station. The operation focuses on environmentally friendly coffee and the economic growth of the community. Tesfaye also initiated a community project that aims to renew local schools.
The Suke immediately stole our hearts and palates with lots of delicate, floral sweetness, notes of white grape, nectarine, peach, and sencha green tea. Whether you’re new to specialty coffee or a long-time fan, we’re positive that you’ll be as in love with these beans as we are!
