We’re stoked to offer the fantastic and surprising Sumatra Pantan Musara, a natural process lot that will redefine what you expect from Sumatran coffee! These beans come to us from a small mill in the Pegasing district of Takengon, in Sumatra's coffee-famous Aceh region. The mill serves several small coffee producers within the Pantan Musara villages. Several years ago, these producers were dislocated from their homes and land because of a natural disaster, and they have rebuilt their lives and farms with a new focus on coffee. Unlike the vast majority of other Sumatran coffee receiving and processing centers, this mill is producing Washed coffees, as well as Naturals. After a couple years of tasting delicious samples we were finally able to score a handful of bags, and we can’t wait for you to get your hands on some. Effervescent and funky acidity leads you into a rich, citrusy, sweet coffee that lingers with complex herbal and tea-like notes on the finish. Brew it up in your kalita for that extra heft of syrupy goodness, or let those florals shine in a v60!
